365 Days Of Creativity: February Competition

It's finally here the second design brief of twelve we will be releasing this year! These are set directly as part of our 365 Days of Creativity project. Be sure to remember that these creative briefs will be released at the very end of each month. They will set you the task of combining several of the skills, tips and techniques we've demonstrated in the one minute videos featured throughout that month.

Lets introduce Februaries brief and then talk about how to submit your entry.

The Brief:

Using a repeat pattern made in Illustrator.

Techniques/skills to include:

  • Use of a Repeat Pattern somewhere in the overall design.
  • At least one word or phrase which has been Kerned.
  • Be as creative as possible!

Videos which contain these skills:

Helpful hints/
Resources:

  • Take a look at existing icons/imagery which visualise the idea of either Winter or Spring. Here is a good place start!
  • Consider how many elements you would like to use in your pattern. It could be as few as two.
  • Look at some ways to combine your word/phrase with your pattern in the final design.
