Adobe InDesign is the industry-leading page design and layout application used by designers to create books, newspapers, magazines, brochures, posters, flyers and digital publications. Understanding InDesign gives you precise control over typography, page layout and interactivity.

Adobe After Effects is used in a vast number of industries, including TV, web and film, for creating dazzling motion graphics.

Adobe Premiere Pro is the industry-standard tool for editing audio/visual material and used by filmmakers and broadcasters for TV, web and film.

Adobe XD is the software professionals use to design, prototype and share user experience for web and mobile devices.

Adobe Lightroom is the industry leading photo editing and cataloguing application. It gives you everything you need to edit, organise, store and share your photos across desktop, mobile and web.

Cinema 4D is without a doubt one of the most intuitive 3D applications out there. It allows you to create 3D projects from scratch, and go through the entire process of modelling, lighting, texturing, animating and rendering.

Whichever creative career you decide to focus your studies on, our courses will cover everything you need to know. Build a solid foundation first with our new Graphic Design Starter Bootcamp, that covers the most important areas of Graphic Design in a 12 Weeks long program. If you use design to complement your existing profession (ie. you are in Marketing, or a Solopreneur), but don't want to work as a professional designer, this Bootcamp will be all you need. MasterClasses dive much deeper into specific design fields covering one application completely. They are greatly advantageous for you if you know that you would primary work in a certain application (ie. a professional video editor working in Premiere Pro).

If you do wish to become a successful, highly sought out freelance designer in any field, the Pro Membership gives you access to further specialization as well as the invaluable experience of completing realistic design projects.

We have 3 tiers of Memberships tailored to these 3 distinctive needs. The Starter Membership gives you access to the Graphic Design Starter Bootcamp, the Plus Membership to all our Masterclasses, while you can access the entire course library plus our 55+ Projects assignments in the Pro Membership. Please scroll down to the Memberships section to learn more of each.

What is included in our courses?

All our courses primarily consist of recorded video lessons, showing techniques step-by-step and explaining theories and principles in great detail. As a student you can watch these video lessons as many times as you wish and you can also pause them to follow along with the included exercise files. This is the closest learning experience to an instructor-led classroom training with the added advantage of setting the pace of the training to your preference. You can even adjust the speed of the video playback, whether you wish to slow them down or speed them up.

Your progress is automatically tracked by finishing each lesson. This helps you to have regular breaks while studying and be able to easily continue where you left off. You can reach 100% completion rate for a course when you completed all the lessons (videos, quizzes, guides, etc.) and at this point you will automatically receive a course completion certificate, which you can download as a PDF.

Exercise Files are usually located in the first chapter of each course. You should download these when starting the course and make sure you allow yourself time to practice all the techniques covered in the video lessons to make sure you understand and will remember everything.

In some of our MasterClasses you can also test your knowledge with Interactive Quizzes at the end of each chapter. These lessons require a minimum passing rate in order to mark them complete. In case of these courses not finishing the quizzes will prevent you to receive the Course Completion Certificate.

In our Exam Preparation courses you will also find Test Exams with randomized questions, simulating the real Adobe Certified exams and helping you to prepare for successfully passing them.

Who are your courses aimed at?

Anyone interested and very passionate about starting a creative career, even if you are a complete beginner! Passion and motivation is key to learning any skills so we encourage students  to put in the effort and time  to learn and practice along with our courses to see real progress.

Our courses have helped individuals attain skills needed to become a Graphic Designer, Retoucher, UX/Web designer, Illustrators to Video Editors.  Our courses have also helped existing professionals upskill and improve their creative and technical skills.

What languages are your courses available in?

All our courses are in English but subtitles (closed captions) are available for selected courses in English and Mandarin. We are planning to add more subtitles in the future based on demand.

You can also choose from 30+ languages for the navigation of our course platform from your Student Account Profile.

Change language of course platform navigation within your Profile settings.

    Our instructors

    Martin Perhiniak

    Graphic Designer, Illustrator and
    Adobe Certified Instructor

Voted as one of the top 10 Adobe instructors in the world and currently providing consultancy to WPP, Adobe's largest Creative Cloud enterprise customer.

With over fifteen years of experience as a practising designer his online courses not only cover the technical knowledge you need. Martin also teaches a lot about design principles, compositional techniques and plenty of best practices that he picked up and developed while working as a graphic designer and illustrator on projects such as Pixar’s Cars and Toy Story, BBC’s Dr Who or Mattel’s Team Hot Wheels.

    Ozgur Gorgun

    Filmmaker, Photographer, Motion Designer and
    Adobe Certified Instructor

Ozgur has been working in the film and TV industry both in the UK and abroad for over a decade. He is an Adobe Certified Expert, Video Specialist and Instructor. He is also one of the very few Maxon Certified Cinema 4D Trainers in the world.

Ozgur taught and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry such as SKY, BBC, Sony Pictures, ITV, Google, Microsoft, to name a few. He considers it a privilege to be able to contribute to that "lightbulb moment" when a creative person learns a new skill.

    Requirements

Most of our courses don't require any prior knowledge or skill apart from basic computer skills. Our Starter Bootcamp will help you to build the foundations in skill and knowledge while our step by step MasterClasses get you to advanced skill level by the end of the training.

The video lessons in all of our courses can only be accessed online, there is no option to download them. This is to prevent potential illegal copies and distribution. You can however download exercise files and PDF guides included in our courses. For a good learning experience we recommend having stable and fast internet connection.

It is important to have an active Creative Cloud subscription to be able to practice the techniques covered in our courses. For Pro Members it is also essential to have access to Adobe applications in order to complete creative assignments. Access to Adobe Creative Cloud applications is not included with our courses or memberships and we cannot offer student discounts for these. Please enquire here about available student discounts in your area or find out more information on Creative Cloud subscription fees here.

We recommend investing into a good laptop or computer (our courses are tailored for both Mac and PC users). You can find out more information on the specifications recommended by Adobe to run their Creative Cloud applications here. We suggest using a mouse instead of a trackpad in case you are styuding with a laptop. A mouse will allow faster and more convenient editing in most creative tools. For courses on illustration, drawing and retouching we also recommend investing into a pen tablet or pen display for a better and more intuitive input and experience. You can read more about the tools and devices we use at Yes I'm a Designer and can recommend for our students and you can find some of our product reviews here: Product Reviews for Designers (Designer's Kit).

    Certification

All of our courses come with Course Completion Certificates. You can reach 100% completion rate for a course when you completed all the lessons (videos, quizzes, guides, etc.) and at this point you will automatically receive a course completion certificate, which you can download as a PDF. This document proofs that you attended and successfully completed an Adobe Certified online training led by an Adobe Certified Instructor.

Course completion certificate generated with issue date and Adobe Certified Instructors signature.

Although our course completion certificates can be used to prove that you completed Adobe certified training materials, it doesn't mean that you will automatically be certified by Adobe for a specific application that the course covered. To become Certified by Adobe you need to pass the official product exam. You can find out more about these here. Adobe is currently working on releasing new versions of these exams, so you might need to enquire from them directly if you cannot find the exam that you are looking for.

We are not able to help with booking exams and they are not included in our courses or memberships. We provide courses (MasterClasses and Exam Preparation courses) to help you prepare for the Adobe Certified Exams. We are proud to say that hundreds of our students already passed these exams successfully.

    Access to Courses

Depends on which course you need, you will need to have an active subscription to a Membership tier that grants you access to the given course class. The Starter Bootcamp is available in all 3 tiers, MasterClasses form the 2nd, Plus tier, while Skill and Project courses, like the 365 days of Creativity is available only in the Pro Membership.  You have access to the courses as long as your membership is active. You can read more about these subscription-based programs here.

We aim to provide 24/7 uninterrupted access to our courses, however occasionally there might be short periods when the access might slow down due to server maintenance. We always try to let our students know in advance in case we expect some temporary access issues. These down times happen very rarely (a few hours per year) and we are working hard with our server providers to further reduce this rate.

Please email us if you experience any technical issues or having problems accessing the courses.

    Refund policy

We aim to provide the best learning experience and support for our students. However, in case for any reason you are not satisfied with our content or service you can request a refund by clicking on the red icon on the bottom right corner of this page. You will need to choose the following options and fill out the form after the third step:

    1. I am enrolled to your course(s) and need help!

    2. Yes I'm a Designer website

    3. I would like to get a refund.

We guarantee full refund for a 30 days after purchase for the 1st paid period. Unfortunately we cannot process refunds if you watched more that 10% of any of the courses, or asked for the same refund before. This means that if you received a refund for your 1st payment for the Plus Membership for example, but then resubscribe to it again, you would not be eligible for a refund again.

It is important to note that the price you joined with is always secured for you until you cancel your subscription. You can only rejoin at the current price, which may have been increased compared to your previous rate.

    Memberships

The Starter Membership - Access to the Graphic Design Starter Bootcamp & the Starter Community

The Starter Membership is our entry level tier built around the Graphic Design Starter Bootcamp and its student group on Facebook, the Starter Community.

This Membership serves as a single entry point for anyone interested in design, with a guided, welcoming experience that teaches you exactly the things you need to learn early on, at the time you need to know it. Starting in such streamlined manner helps you avoid the  common overwhelm students feel when they begin to see how much there is to learn. This intimidation can lead to confusion and a ultimately a lot of time and effort wasted.

The main benefit of completing the 12 Weeks of the Bootcamp is that it accelerates all your future progress giving you strong foundations in both skill and understanding. Concepts and techniques previously floating around in your head  will fall into their place, while you can move forward with work-ready skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD.

Unlike our other courses the Graphic Design Starter Bootcamp is released week by week, with a project concluding each week at the end. These are similar to the Creative Briefs of the Pro Membership, and as you complete them, you can share you work in the Starter community and get feedback from fellow students. (we only offer instructor feedback in the Pro Membership)

After completing the 12 Weeks you can seamlessly progress to the Pro Membership or specialize further with the MasterClasses in the Plus.

Because this would most likely come much earlier than a year, the Starter Membership is only to be paid by  the Month, there is no Yearly plan.

The Plus Membership - Access to all our MasterClass level courses

As a Plus Member you will gain continuous access to all of our MasterClasses for the duration of your paid period. Our Plus Membership is for you if you want to specialize one or more professional Adobe application in Graphic- or Motion Design. In the MasterClass courses you access in this tier we cover all the necessary skills, techniques and theories required for a peak quality, original work of a creative professional.

As a beginner, you can start  with the Starter Bootcamp, and then expand your knowledge in the the three major graphic design applications (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), or learn the tools for a specific are of interest (eg. Lightroom and Photoshop on the iPad for photo editing on the go, or Illustrator (desktop & iPad) for digital vector art).

You will also automatically get enrolled to any new MasterClass level courses we release and you will receive emails on updates (new chapters, new exercises, etc.) when they are added to existing courses.

What you miss from the Pro Membership are the Creative Project Briefs, the Pro Community and the smaller Skill- and Project courses, as well as Pro exclusive seminars, however you do access everything from the Starter Membership including the Starter Community Facebook Group.

The Plus membership is only to be paid by the month, there is no yearly plan.

Pro Membership - Access All Courses + Projects and Mentoring

Our Pro Membership is specifically designed for those who wish to get additional guidance and help besides accessing all of our courses. We provide personal feedback and mentoring to our Pro Members on their work. Choose from 45+ real, industry-standard creative briefs from Career Paths - like Illustration, Graphic Design, UX Design - allowing you to develop a portfolio, based on your interests and career goals.

    Personalized Feedback on your designs

Get two rounds of feedback per month: one via video feedback and one through our Exclusive Live Webinar. Challenge yourself to create new work, build a portfolio, get guidance from existing professionals & grow as a creative.

With one round of video feedback and one webinar each month, we guarantee that students never have to wait longer than two weeks to get your work reviewed.

    Video Feedback

After we receive your submission on the design you would like feedback on, you’ll receive a personalised video lesson from our Instructor.  The video will be recorded and available for all students to watch on our course platform.

    Live Webinar

Our Live Webinar interactive is in real-time, students will have the opportunity to ask instructors questions and interact with other Pro Members and importantly get feedback on their designs.

All-Pro Members have up to six project submission allowance per month. For best practice, we advise students not to submit more than 3 designs for each round of feedback as working on multiple assignments at the same time may lead to creative block, burn-out and eventually poor quality of work.

    • How would I be notified of Webinars and review deadlines?
We will send out 2 emails per month on key dates and review deadlines. Students can also see this on their Pro Member Lounge if you join the Pro Membership programme.
    • How long does it take to review my design?
Review will be provided within 14 days of submission, either via Video Feedback or on the live Webinar.
    • Will I have access to past Webinars?
Yes, all webinars are recorded and you can rewatch them at any time and as many times you wish! As a Pro Member you can access them in the Pro Lounge.

    What happens after the review?

If your design is Approved, then it means you have met the brief requirements, the Assignment status will be set to read Approved, and the lesson will be marked complete.

Please note that we will only provide feedback on designs that we feel can improve; as a result, occasionally we may Approve designs that do not need any feedback!

If your design is Rejected, it means further refinement is needed; you will be able to make another submission for review. Once you resubmit, and you follow our feedback then we may automatically approve it without giving further feedback!

    Career Paths
