Book Cover Design Contest - December 2024

We are excited to announce our final open design contest of the year. This Book Cover brief is one of our most popular design briefs taken by our Pro Member Students, and we are happy to make it available to everyone.

How to enter?

  2. Submit your designs here before the 11th December
  3. Join our YouTube livestream on the 12th December to see the winners*
*We will be doing a live review on the design submissions and up to 3 winners will be announced live on our YouTube Channel at 2pm GMT on the 12th December 

Here is some more information about the contest:

The Brief:

Book Cover Design

  • Design the cover of a book titled My Vegan Kitchen
  • Design needs to include: Front Panel, Spine, Back Panel and optionally Front/Back Wraps
  • Illustrations, stock photography or generated images can be used for the book cover

Visual Style

Natural, organic and earthy tone 

Target Audience

Vegan eaters aged 16+ years olds who want to cook healthy food on a budget.

Deliverables:

You can submit up to 3 entries (details of how to submit included below.) An entry must include a refined design submitted as a PDF, JPG or PNG.

11th December (Wednesday)

Shumi Perhiniak

Shumi is a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator who has worked for Toni&Guy, Renaissance Learning, Baker Ross, and many others.

Additionally, she owned a brick-and-mortar stationery shop selling her art prints and now sells wholesale to retailers and online shops under the brand name www.herdesignworld.com.
