Happy New year! Kickstart your creative journey with our first design contest of 2025 on Packaging Label design. The contest is open to everyone and a fantastic way to add designs to your portfolio, have your work reviewed, featured on our YouTube channel and win prizes.

  3. Join our YouTube livestream on Tuesday 18th February 2025 to see the winners*
*We will be doing a live review on the design submissions and up to 3 winners will be announced live on our YouTube Channel at 2pm GMT on Tuesday 18th February 2025

The Brief:

Coffee packaging label 

  • Product Name: Aloha Sunrise Blend
  • Company Name: Hawaiian Bliss Coffee 

  • Tagline: “From the Slopes of Paradise”

  • Hawaiian Bliss Coffee is a family-run coffee roaster specializing in premium 100% Kona coffee sourced from lush volcanic slopes of Hawaii.

    They need a packaging label for their flagship product: "Aloha Sunrise Blend." This is a medium roast coffee celebrated for its smooth, nutty flavor with subtle notes of honey and tropical flowers.

Visual Style

Design a visually stunning coffee label that captures the tropical elegance of Hawaii and stands out on shelves while conveying the premium, artisanal quality of the coffee. 

Size & Dimensions

Choose one you prefer

1. For a Standard Flat Coffee Bag -
4 inches wide x 6 inches tall (10.16 cm x 15.24 cm)

2.  For a Stand-Up Pouch (Resealable Bag) - 
 4 inches wide x 5 inches tall (10.16 cm x 12.7 cm)

3. For a Wrap-Around Label (360° design)
10 inches wide x 4 inches tall (25.4 cm x 10.16 cm)

Affluent coffee enthusiasts (ages 25–50)

Deliverables:

You can submit up to 3 entries. Simply put all designs into one PDF (max 10 Mbytes). (details of how to submit included below.)

Shumi is a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator who has worked for Toni&Guy, Renaissance Learning, Baker Ross, and many others.
