Recommended Books for graphic designers

We want to share with you some of our favourite books for graphic designers that we have read this year! All the books are easy to follow, very insightful and will improve your knowledge on graphic design.

This is a great read if you want to discover the secrets of Graphic Design, written by print designer with 25 years experience. It’s easy to read and not overly technical. This will gear you up on how to think creatively and work efficiently if you are new to design or want to become a better designer.

This is a great book for all levels of designers. You can challenge yourself to read at least one spread everyday and learn 365 essentials do’s and don'ts in design within a year. The book covers a wide range of design theory, process and style. It is also very easy to read and understand.

A very witty and blunt book on Graphic Design by Austin Kleon. This is a personal favourite of mine and highly addictive to read. Uncover 10 ways on how you can improve and motivate yourself as a designer and one of them is actually encouraging designers to grow and develop their style by simply copying other artists!

Another one by Austin Kleon (we love his witty sense of writing and his simple but effective illustrations). As a creative we all have self-doubt and worry that we are not creative enough. This book is one of the most encouraging books for artists to stop worrying and start sharing their work both online and offline.

If reading is not your thing then be sure to check out our daily tutorials on Youtube or download the list of our favourite creative games which will help you learn about topics like typography, colours, logo design and so much more!
