Design for a Cause: Join the Amazon Aid Poster Challenge!

The Amazon rainforest is one of our planet's most important ecosystems, but it is constantly under threat, from illegal gold mining to deforestation and climate change. Now, you have the chance to use your creativity to make a difference!

In honor of Earth Day coming up in April, we have an exciting new challenge for you. Amazon Aid charity is calling on creatives like you to design a set of three impactful posters to raise awareness about critical issues affecting the Amazon.

How to enter?

  2. Submit your designs here Midnight 28th April 2025 (12am BST)
  3. Join our YouTube livestream on Thursday 1st May; 2025, 2PM BST  to see the winners*

*We will be doing a live review on the design submissions and up to 3 winners will be announced live on our YouTube Channel on 1st May 2025, 2PM BST

The Brief:

Design a total of 3 posters to raise awareness about critical issues affecting the Amazon.  Issues are listed on the Milanote Board.

Visual Style

Feel free to explore your unique styles or pick one of the 4 recommended directions listed on the Milanote Board.

Use the Amazon Aid Poster template provided on the Milanote Board

Target Audience

High school students (ages 15-17)

Deliverables:

You can submit up to 3 entries. Simply put all designs into one PDF (max 100 Mbytes). Details of how to submit included on the Milanote Board.

Want to create your own impactful environmental poster?

In this workshop, we guide you through every step of the design process from crafting a clear message and selecting compelling visuals to mastering layout, color, and typography for maximum impact.

Disclaimer :

All design assets have to be created by the contestant or they need to be royalty free photos, illustration, fonts, etc.

Generative AI can be utilised for the posters, but for not more than 50% of the artwork.

Any designers under the age of 18 whose work is selected as a finalist or winner, must provide parental permission to showcase the work.

Amazon Aid will be given full distribution and copyrights of winning designs. Winners will need to provide fully layered, editable working files to Amazon Aid.

During the live review, all participants receive general feedback on how to improve their work. Due to time restraints we may not be able to give individual attention to all submissions

Shumi is a self-taught graphic designer and Photoshop expert, currently the Marketing Director at Yes I'm a Designer, where she writes and designs marketing materials with a focus on design, creativity, and visual communication.
She brings over 10 years of industry experience, having worked in-house as a designer for brands including Toni&Guy, Renaissance Learning, and JWT Hotels.
She also ran a stationery shop in the UK for three years, selling her own art prints and paper goods, blending her passion for design, business, and creativity.
